The deadline to apply for Wine Sector Support Program (WSSP) funding this year (2025-26) is Friday, May 23, 2025 (at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time), unless otherwise announced on the program’s webpage. Here’s how to apply!
The Program provides non-repayable grants to eligible Canadian wineries to help them adapt to ongoing and emerging challenges. Support is based on the previous year’s production of bulk wine fermented in Canada from domestic and/or imported primary agricultural products.
For this application period, eligible wine must have been produced (completed initial fermentation) between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025.
You must submit a new application to the WSSP each year during the application intake period. Applications submitted to the program in previous years are not transferable and will not be considered for 2025-26 grant funding.
To confirm that your application was successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation notice and unique program identification number (PIN) from the program within 15 business days of submitting your complete application.
You should not consider your application as submitted to the WSSP until you receive a confirmation notice and your PIN. If you do not receive your confirmation notice and PIN, you must contact the program, no later than 15 business days after the application intake period has closed.
