As part of its mandate to, facilitate and fund research and education within British Columbia’s wine industry, the BC Wine Grape Council funds and directs a number of Committees.  Members from Industry are welcome to participate in the Committees that are of interest to them and can contact Kate Durisek, [email protected] for more information.

Research & Development Committee

Educate the broader industry about ongoing initiatives that are occurring and have the potential to impact them in sustainability, climate, technology, and innovation. Enable knowledge transfer through a range of publications, workshops, and support systems.

Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee primary mandate has been the formation of Sustainable Winegrowing BC (SWBC).  SWBC’s role is to foster grape and wine production and winery hospitality services that enhance environmental quality, create a resource base on which the industry is economically viable, and improve quality of life for growers, producers, and society as a whole.
