On August 26, 2020 the BC Wine Grape Council hosted a panel discussion on Managing Harvest through COVID-19.  The panel was moderated by board members, Ross Wise of Andrew Peller and Mary McDermott from Township 7 Vineyards and Winery.  Panel speakers included Gordon Russell of Esk Valley Winery in New Zealand, Jeremy Dineen of Joseph Chromy wines in Tasmania, Steve Marino from WorkSafe BC and Ron Maciborski from AgSafe BC.  Panelists provided insight into how harvest was managed during the initial outbreak of COVID-19 in the Southern Hemisphere as well as resources for vineyard owners and winemakers entering the harvest period in BC.

"The BC Wine Grape Council is pleased to be able to have brought these excellent resources to the BC wine industry in time for the upcoming harvest cycle.  By sharing this video, we aim to share important health & safety information with the broader industry and meet the BC Wine Grape Council mandate to have a robust knowledge and tech transfer program." says Mary McDermott, Chair of the BC Wine Grape Council Knowledge and Tech Transfer Committee.
