To those registered for the lecture at Summerland RDC on July 18:
The special lecture, Lesser Known Noble Winegrape Varieties, by Dr. Jim Wolpert scheduled for July 18 will be postponed due to illness. Pat Bowen will retain the current registration list and once the lecture is rescheduled she will contact you to confirm your interest in attending at the new time.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jim Wolpert, retired extension viticulturist and chair of the Department of Viticulture and Enology at the University of California, Davis, will present a lecture and workshop on alternative V. vinifera varieties at the Summerland Research and Development Centre, tentatively on July 18. Jim is keen to share his wealth of knowledge on lesser known and grown noble winegrape varieties, and has requested his lecture be followed by a tasting and discussion of local wines made from these varieties. If you currently produce a lesser known or rarely planted V. vinifera variety, or you are seeking more information on these varieties, please join us for Jim’s lecture. Producers willing to contribute wine for the tasting and discussion should contact Pat Bowen at firstname.lastname@example.org . A call for registration and further details will be coming soon. There will be no cost for this lecture but space is limited.
